Entelli

ENTELLI (INTALEY): This prison camp was located in the Vilayet of Adana, in the Amanus Range, in southeastern Anatolia, only six miles east of Bagtche. The Turks operated a working camp at Entelli for British and Indian prisoners constructing the railroad line in the Amanus Sector. Danish sisters maintained a hospital in Entelli for prisoners incapacitated by fever. The Turks also used Entelli as a civilian internment center for 10,000 Armenians in 1915.
